Beautiful piece. There's something wonderful about reading a piece of work where you can get completely lost in a place and time and not know if its real or not. The last line is perfect. I may have never been to Turkey but, with minor variations, I've met so many characters so close to Goof. You find a lot of them in Amsterdam bars talking about art and philosophy before evaporating from the real world into plumes of skunk smoke.

This line rocked me and made me refocus. Nice writing. Boring people.

My whole life I have been surrounded by people convinced they were hipper than me. I didn't believe it when I was very young and I do not believe it now. But the separate realities will not change and we will all go to our death beds singing our own song. Sad.
